Signing Day

CTE Letter of Intent Signing Day

C3 Signing Day logoNorth Arkansas College is pleased to announce that the National CTE Letter of Intent Signing Day event held in collaboration and partnership with the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) will be delivered in a video format on April 15, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. The event will be broadcast on Northark’s YouTube channel.

Signing Day mirrors the NCAA’s National Signing Day for athletes who commit to play sports in college, but instead of athletes, NC3’s Signing Day is designed to honor students who are entering a technical field and to celebrate the dignity of work. Students planning to attend Northark in the upcoming academic year with a desire to pursue an educational pathway in a CTE program area will be featured in the video.

“Signing Letters of Intent sends the signal to the students, to our industry partners and everyone else, that this choice is a big deal. The college is committing to reserve a place for them, and letting the students know they are very important people. Technical training will prepare them for a strong, essential career.” said Randy Esters, Northark president. “Industry leaders are excited about this opportunity because it validates the student and provides an opportunity for industry representatives to meet these future members of their workforce.”

Over ninety technical institutions across the country will be hosting signing day ceremonies tied together by live, nationwide simulcasts.

All students who participate in the National Signing Day event will be featured in an event video, receive a copy of their letter of commitment, and be provided with a Northark cap or T-shirt to display in the video and enjoy as a congratulatory gift.
