Economic Breakfast Series set for Jan. 24

Tim MullalyTim Mullaly, Chief Economist of the FedEx Corporate Economic Division, will be the speaker Wednesday, January 24th, in the Economic Update Breakfast Series at North Arkansas College.  The event, sponsored by The Point Financial Group and Porterfield & Company CPA, PLLC, will be held in the L.E. “Gene” Durand Center at Northark’s Center Campus in Harrison.

As chief economist, Dr. Mullaly is responsible for forecasting economic indicators relevant to FedEx and the U.S. economy. Mullaly provides analysis to senior management on conditions in the U.S. economy, transportation industry and energy markets. He also provides feedback on proposed legislation that would impact the transportation industry and the economy.

Mullaly is a member of the Blue Chip survey of Economic Forecasters. He received a bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in Economics from Western Michigan University. Dr. Mullaly earned his Ph.D. in economics from Penn State. At Penn State, Mullaly conducted researched on the North American Free Trade Agreement. Prior to joining FedEx, he taught macroeconomics at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
