EudyFor Harrison’s Sherry Eudy, well done is better than well said.  If someone needs help, she springs into action and gets the job done.  Sherry is committed to volunteering at North Arkansas College and in the community and the list of help she has given to others is long.

A non-traditional student at Northark, she has provided leadership on an off campus and sets a positive example to inspire others.  For these reasons, the Women of Distinction Committee has selected her to receive the 2017 Future Woman of Distinction Scholarship.  She will receive one semester of tuition to attend Northark.

“I have a double major of Agriculture Business with an emphasis on accounting and food science,” Sherry says.  She plans to transfer to University of Arkansas next year. Eudy said “It’s an amazing honor to receive this scholarship.  It’s greatly appreciated and needed!”

Sherry has often set time aside to work with area high school students to help them understand math.  When others have given up on teaching a student math, Sherry tells them she believes in them and knows they can do it with a little help. She volunteers as a math tutor in the Student Resource Center at the College.

She also volunteers at the Boone County Fair, the District Fair and at Northark athletic events.  The Children’s Charity Ministry (CCM) is another organization that regularly benefits from her efforts.  She helps pack the backpacks they distribute to children.  Sherry’s is married to Gary Eudy and has two daughters, Makayla, age 17 and Shyanne, 14.

She’s at almost every Northark Free Summer Movie helping the student groups earn money through concession stand sales and frequently helps out in Pete’s Pantry, Northark’s food bank for students.

In 2016-17 she interned at Congressman Womack’s office, was Student Government Vice President, Rotaract Vice President, Baptist Collegiate Ministry Secretary and Phi Theta Kappa Vice President of Student Activities.  Sherry is currently serving as 2017-18 Arkansas State Secretary/Treasurer for Phi Beta Lambda

“She never asks for recognition or brags about all of the volunteer work that she does.”  Jessica Barnes, a friend says. “Sherry truly enjoys helping others.  She never backs down from a challenge or opportunity to do something good.”

Eudy was recognized at the 2017 Women of Distinction Luncheon to be held in the L.E. “Gene” Durand Center on June 12.
