Nominate a student for Future Man of Distinction Scholarship

Each year local men are honored for their contribution to the community with a Men of Distinction award. The Arvest Bank John Paul Hammerschmidt Men of Distinction luncheon is set for Oct. 30, at the Durand Center. The luncheon Is a community fundraiser to award scholarships to Northark students.

We are inviting you to nominate a Northark student to receive a $1,000 Men of Distinction scholarship. Recipients must be planning to attend Northark in 2019 spring or fall semesters, be positive role models and in good academic standing.


Scholarship recipients will possess the same character qualities as the late Congressman Hammerschmidt listed below. To nominate a student, complete the form attached and include a narrative.

Specifically, tell us how the nominee:

 *   Has provided leadership
 *   Made our community a better place to live by their actions
 *   Is an unsung hero working quietly to improve our community or the lives of other people
 *   Is an inspiration to others
 *   Brings issues to the forefront for the betterment of our community
 *   Works with one or more organization to bring about positive change impacting the lives of others
 *   Sets a positive example for others to follow.
