Nominations sought for Future Women of Distinction scholarships

The 2018 Women of Distinction Committee is asking for your help to identify and nominate potential scholarship award recipients who will be recognized at the Women of Distinction Luncheon on June 26.  The featured speaker is Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge.  The Committee will be awarding two $1,000 Northark scholarships to ladies who have exhibited the following characteristics:

  1. Has provided leadership
  2. By their actions made our community a better place to live
  3. Are unsung heroines working quietly to improve our area
  4. Inspires others
  5. Brings issue to the forefront for the betterment of our community
  6. Works with one or more organizations to bring about positive change impacting the lives of others
  7. Sets a positive example for others to follow.

Ladies who reside in the counties of Boone, Madison, Newton, Searcy, Carroll or Marion and who plan to enroll at North Arkansas College in the fall of 2018 or spring 2019 are eligible.  There are no income limits as this unique scholarship is designed to reward women for their good deeds in helping others while also assisting them in achieving their educational goals.
