Current and recently admitted Northark students can sign up to get vaccinated. The student must be 16 years of age or older and parental consent is required for those age 16 and 17.

The first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered. Another clinic will be scheduled to administer the second dose in a few weeks. Vaccines will be administered by Northark’s health professions instructors and students.

“The clinics we’ve held on campus this year have brought thousands of people through Northark’s doors,” commented Northark President Randy Esters.  Esters can be spotted at the clinic each week overseeing the operation and management to ensure everything runs smoothly. “We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the clinics to keep everyone safe and healthy, and we have been eagerly anticipating the day when we could offer the vaccine to our students.”

Students should check their email for details on how to sign up. There is no out-of-pocket cost to students, but they should bring their insurance card to the clinic. Students will be asked to remain on-site for a short observation period. Northark admissions and financial aid staff will be available to assist students who want to register for summer or fall classes while they are on campus.

Northark is working in partnership with North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and Boone County Health Department to offer vaccination clinics to improve the health of the community.
