Online small business program named one of best in the nation

bestcolleges ranking logoNorth Arkansas College has announced its online small business program has been recognized as one of the best in the country for 2018 by, a leading provider of higher education research and college planning resources. The ranking highlights accredited, not-for-profit institutions who have developed exceptional academic online programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills, and career in small business. 

Northark President Dr. Randy Esters was thrilled to hear the news, “We know Northark is not only a great value, but we offer world class quality.  It’s nice to know the nation is paying attention to what we are doing at Northark, a true jewel of the Ozarks.”’s ranking uses a methodology grounded in statistical data compiled from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and College Navigator, both of which are hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics. The aim is to objectively assess relative quality based on academic outcomes, affordability, and the breadth and depth of online learning opportunities.

Business and IT Department Chair, Cheryl Keymer says, “I am very pleased that the small business management program has received this ranking. The Business and IT department at North Arkansas College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and works continuously to make sure the program is up-to-date and meeting the needs of area employers.” 

Ranked third in the nation, Northark offers degrees in Accounting, Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Office Management. The college also offers technical certificates in Small Business Management, Office Management and Accounting.
