Rick Williams joined North Arkansas College in 1992 and is now serving as the Director of the Information Technology Services Division. Before joining Northark, Rick worked for KLA Instruments Corp. in San Jose, California for five years where he served as a lead for a systems and circuit board test department. He moved back to his home state of Arkansas in 1992 and began his career at Northark.
Since joining Northark, Rick has been active in the college and his community. He has spoken several times with a colleague at the League for Innovation’s annual Conference on Information Technology, served on the Board of Directors for the former ARKNet consortium regarding state initiatives on technology, and is an active member with Northark’s Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP). He is also a current member of InfraGuard, which is a national partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the public sector. Rick has served on several committees throughout his career at Northark and in 2002, he received the Northark Outstanding Employee Award.
Active in the Harrison & Bergman communities, Rick has served as a member of the Board of Education for the Bergman School District since 2006. A former member of the Harrison chapter of the Kiwanis Club, he served as the Key Club Sponsor for the Bergman School District. Rick has also participated in the Boone County Leadership Institute in 2007 and has since been a speaker for the Boone County Youth Leadership Institute. Rick is an active member of the Bergman Church of Christ and is married to Stacey, who serves as the counselor for Bergman Middle School, and has two boys, Justin and Tony
