As Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Katie Vaughn develops and monitors data systems in order to collect, analyze, and share information for the purposes of evaluation, planning, accountability, and decision making, at every level. Katie is the primary liaison with external agencies regarding state and federal reporting, as well as, the primary internal contact for process evaluation and improvement. Committed to Northark’s Quality Journey, she serves on the Quality Team and the Performance Excellence Team, and chairs the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Team.

A former researcher for the University of Arkansas’ Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, she has been published in the Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry, The Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, and in Bioresource Technology.

Katie and her husband Ty, Quality Manager for RockTenn, reside in Bergman with their two dogs.
