Community Nursing Assistant Program
The Community Nursing Assistant Program introduces basic concepts and principles in assisting with nursing care. Emphasis is placed upon the development of fundamental nurse assistant skills, techniques and knowledge. The program is designed to serve as a starting point for a variety of health careers. Clinical experience is in area health care facilities, providing the student an opportunity to develop nursing skills by giving direct patient care.
