students at movieTrent Taylor has three future goals — get his master’s degree, find a successful job and live life to the fullest.

Taylor recently earned his Associate of Science degree in agriculture. He plans to transfer to the University of Arkansas and major in ag business or ag communications.

Taylor said he grew up on a small cattle farm and wanted to get an agriculture degree because he doesn’t want a career where he is stuck behind a desk all day.

“I like to work outside,” he said. “I don’t want to stay in an office all of the time.”

Taylor said the best part of Northark is getting to know faculty, staff and classmates.

“By knowing my instructors, I feel that I can talk with them better and get help in class when needed,” he said. “I have also been able to network and meet new people.”

During his time at Northark, Taylor was an officer in the Student Government Association and in the Agri Club.
