The Associate of Science in Education is a transfer degree for the student who plans to obtain an Elementary (K-6) or Mid-level (4-8) teaching degree from Arkansas Tech University, Arkansas State University in Mountain Home, or the University of Central Arkansas.  Northark has agreements with these three universities to offer students seamless options for transfer to junior/senior level courses required to ultimately obtain a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Since these institutions have variations in required courses, students should work closely with a Northark advisor in order to complete specific courses needed for a smooth transition to the junior level at either any of these colleges.

Students interested in obtaining more information about these degree programs should contact Program Advisor JoAnn Walden to receive a degree plan checklist of required courses. Contact Walden at jwalden@northark.edu or 870-391-3346.
