Information Technologies AS = Associate of Science | 2 years
The Associate of Science in Information Technologies degree prepares students for a broad range of IT careers and provides a transferrable degree to pursue a four-year degree in IT.  Courses are designed to emphasize the development of the foundational IT skills needed in today’s business world. Students train to work in all phases of IT and get to play/work with some of the coolest gadgets and applications on campus. Internships are available for students interested in improving their technical skills and making contacts within the industry.

Learning Outcomes

  • Develop an awareness of the social and economic factors that affect the necessity for and security of information technologies in the modern world 
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to configure, maintain and troubleshoot standard computing hardware, software, and operating systems 
  • Demonstrate the skills necessary to design and implement a modern, efficient, and sustainable computer network and to perform network administration, management, and security activities 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emerging trends and the ability to solve real-world problems within the information technology field
