1-Year Technical Certificate: Construction Technology
The Construction Technology Certificate is designed to provide students with current skills in residental and commercial construction and construction management. Courses in information technology, mathematics, computer-aided design, national building codes, and project management are included in the curriclum so that students will be fully prepared for success on the Arkansas General Contractors licensing examination. Additionally, North Arkansas College has partnered with Metal Working Connections (MWC) and local contractors to provide a paid apprenticeship that may be used to satisfy some coursework/intership requirements for the Construction Technology program depending on the nature of the apprenticeship. Students interested in apprenticeship opportunities should contact the Construction Technology Department for details. This Certificate may be combined with another area of technical specialization to satisfy requirements for the AAS in Gerneral Technology.
