Preamble to the Northark Student Government Constitution
"We, the students of North Arkansas College, in order to establish a fair and balanced system of student government, to ensure positive representation of Student ideals, to participate in the process of formation and execution of college policy, and to establish a bond between ourselves, the faculty, and our administration, do hereby establish the following constitution."
The Purpose of SGA
- Work in service to the students and administration toward the common goal of student retention and encourage student interaction.
- Foster communication between the students, faculty, staff, and administration.
- Provide an official voice through which student opinions may be expressed to the faculty and administration.
- Promote the general welfare of the college.
- Give students an opportunity to be decision makers within the context of student/college interaction.

- Talent Contest
- Modifications to the Student Center
- Initiated student surveys
- Presented survey results to North Arkansas Board of Trustees
- Enhancements to the Snack Bar
- Sponsored Annual Voter Registration Drive
- Enacted a Student Identification System
- Student Id Cards
- Discounts at area businesses
- Initiated improvements to restrooms on South Campus for handicap accessessibility
- Responsible for the installation of a handicap lift.
- Obtained an ATM for the North and South Campuses

Officers and Representatives are elected in September and serve from October 1, to September 30 of the following year. Officers must be full-time students. Representatives may be either full or part-time students.
The SGA Office is located in the Student Center area of the South Campus and is open Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters, manned by SGA members. You can contact your Student Government representative at the office or by calling (870)391-3355 or (870)391-3299.
