Distance Learning
Distance Education at North Arkansas College is all about you. The distance education program is here to serve students by providing a wide range of online courses and offering orientations to web-based learning. We also assist the faculty with course development, course material, and course schedules.
Technology Based Learning at Northark
Technology is all around us. It seems we cannot escape it. It appears everywhere. We use some form of technology everyday to make our lives more convenient...more manageable. Technology is not the message - it is the vehicle on which the message is riding. Technology is a means to an end.....it's not the end. One of the goals for the Distance Education Office is to find the best ways of using technology for teaching and learning. Working with the faculty and students, we find what works best for the Northark community. In the long run, our teachers will teach better and our students will learn better. The distance education environment is different from the traditional classroom in many ways - and similar in many ways. Similar because it has specific learning parameters - a lot like a classroom. Different because it's physical parameters are flexible or fluid.
Things You Might Want to Know
