NAC offers college preparatory classes to help students succeed in college.
A variety of college prep classes are offered in math, algebra, vocabulary, grammar, composition, reading, and college success skills.
The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) is located off the main hall of South Campus. (Room M154) It contains the Learning Lab, the Writing Center, the Testing Center, and Math Tutoring. The Learning Lab offers scheduled individualized instruction for students enrolled in Grammar, Fundamentals of Composition, College Reading, and Basic Math. Free tutoring in composition and math is available for all Northark students in the Writing Lab Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 and in the math tutoring room from 9 to 2. The Testing Center is open from 8 to 5 Monday through Thursday and 8 to 3 on Friday for students to take make-up tests for any of their courses.
