Our online classes enable students to continue their education at a time and place that is convenient. All you need is internet access and you can start working toward your North Arkansas College degree completely online.

Minimum Recommendations

Processor: Intel Core series or AMD A series processor (e.g. Intel Core i5 or AMD A6)

(At least 1 GHz clock speed required with at least 3 GHZ clock speed recommended)

Memory: 4GB

Storage: 120GB SSD or 500GB hard drive

Screen resolution: 1366x768

Webcam: Preferred (available for purchase in the Bookstore)

Network: Wifi capabilities

Internet: Minimum 512kbps (satellite connections are *not* recommended)

PC: Windows 8 or higher

Mac: Mac OSX 10.6+

  • Safari or Chrome

Note: Microsoft Access is *not* available for Mac OS.

Office suite: 2016/Office 365 is available free to students for download

Screen reader: (if needed) Mac VoiceOver | PC JAWS or NVDA

Tablets: Tablets and Chromebooks are *not* recommended for your CIS courses. If you’re considering purchasing a device to complete coursework, purchasing a tablet is not a good option. (No Chromebooks, iPads, Android tablets, etc.)
