The Construction Technology Certificate provides the student with current skills in residential and commercial construction and construction management. Courses in information technology, mathematics, computer-aided design, national building codes, and project management are included in the curriculum so that students will be fully prepared for success on the Arkansas General Contractors licensing examination. Additionally, North Arkansas College has partnered with the National Apprenticeship Training Foundation (NATF) and local contractors to provide a paid apprenticeship that may be used to satisfy some coursework/internship requirements for the Construction Technology program depending on the nature of the apprenticeship. Students interested in apprenticeship opportunities should contact the Construction Technology department for details. This Certificate may be combined with another area of technical specialization to satisfy requirements for the AAS in General Technology. CT 1001 CT Internship is available for students interested in improving their technical skills and making contacts within the industry.
