REAL PEOPLE MAKING REAL CONNECTIONS

WE are a community of people brought together through our relationship to North Arkansas College.

OUR purpose is to grow as individuals and as a movement by living out The Great Commission on the Northark college campuses; realizing that seeing students reconciled to Christ will not only impact our college, but our world; including our homes, churches and workplaces.

CHI ALPHA at Northark seeks to fulfill its purpose through Real Connections, Real Meal, Cell Groups, and various events held throughout the year. Real Connections, our worship service, is on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in room B102 on the North Arkansas College South Campus, with student led praise music being a vital part of the gathering. Thanks to various local churches and individuals, Real Meal is a free lunch that takes place every Wednesday during the school year in room B304 on the South Campus. This act of service provides Chi Alpha the opportunity to build relationships with students and staff in an open, non-offensive way. In January 2011 Chi Alpha at Northark launched its first student-led cell group. We believe the most fertile atmosphere for a person to come to faith and maturity in Christ is warm exposure to a small group of people who are fervently committed to the God of the Bible, to each other, and to the lifestyle of evangelism. Cell leaders are trained through a leadership class which utilizes Discipleship by Design by Harvey Herman, The Master Plan of Evangelism by Dr. Robert Coleman, Be The Leader You Were Meant To Be by LeRoy Eims, and other discipleship tools developed by Ronnie Hoover, Chi Alpha Ministries director to the University of Arkansas. The class not only includes 30 hours of teaching time, but a training weekend known as Encounter Weekend, a final exam, and an exit interview. Between June and September, 2011 two more groups may launch. Fall Retreat, SALT Conference (our regional student training conference), Spring Retreat known as Connect Retreat, Spring Break Ski Trip, Infusion Missions Conference, and a missions trip to build Chi Alpha in Bolivia are the other main events throughout the year.

You can now be included in an online community for Chi Alpha on the Northark Portal.  Membership in this group will allow you to access social networks, send email  and chat with other members sharing common interests.  If you would like to sign up follow this link: Chi Alpha Group
