Computer Labs

Digital Media Lab — The Digital Media Lab, located in B209, provides computers to students interested in digital media applications; all have the Adobe Design Premium Suite software for graphic and web design. In addition, the Apple computers have the Final Cut Pro Studio for professional digital video editing. The computers are available for open student use when classes are not in session in B209. To complement the DML, the library has several Wacom Bamboo tablets, digital cameras and digital video cameras for students to check out. The computers are available to students when classroom B209 is not in use.

Honors Program Lab — A small computer lab with a printer and telephone is available to students in the Honors Program.

Tutoring Center — The Tutoring Center (M154) has laptops available for students to use in that area as well as a computer lab and printer for student use. The center is open to all Northark students for tutoring, individual, or group study Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.

South Campus Library — There are more than 30 computer workstations available for student use. Within the limitations of software licensing agreements, student-usable versions of all software taught on campus are available on at least some of the workstations in the library. The library has wireless internet access, allowing users to bring in their own wireless-capable laptops and link to the internet through the college’s wireless service.

Student Support Services — A small computer lab can be used by Student Support Services students only. For a small refundable deposit, the program participants also may borrow a computer for one week at a time.
