Evening on the Plaza
The Evening on the Plaza Dinner is an annual “friend-raising” celebration hosted by the North Arkansas College Foundation. Normally, the event is held on the Friday evening before Northark’s Commencement exercises. The dinner was co-founded by Katherine Nance and the late Wanda Coffman in 1986-87 and named in recognition of its first home: the John Paul Hammerschmidt Plaza on the South Campus of North Arkansas College. Starting in 1990, the dinner has honored recipients of the Ozarks Ambassador Award, an honor selected by the North Arkansas College Foundation Board of Directors.
