Karlee Pruitt Receives Presidential Scholarship
Harrison’s Karlee Pruitt has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship to attend North Arkansas College this fall. A senior at Bergman High School, she is the daughter of Bryan and Eileen Pruitt.
Karlee won 1st place in state and 9th place in nationals at the 2010-11 4H Poultry Team competition. She won 1st in Individual FFA Poultry Judging 2011-12 and FFA 1st ParliPro 3 years and 1st FCCLA 1 year. Memberships and positions include the National Honor Society, FFA, where she serves as an officer, FBLA President, Junior Class President and Sr. Class Officer.
She plans to major in agriculture communications. After attending Northark, she will transfer to a university to complete her education. Her goal is to promote the agricultural industry while helping people with agriculture issues and education.
“I am proud to be a Pioneer.” Karlee says. “This scholarship will help me toward my goal of obtaining a degree while remaining debt-free.”
In order to qualify for a Presidential Scholarship at North Arkansas College, a student must score 22 or higher on the ACT Examination.
