Angela Youngblood receives ACT Scholarship

Angela Youngblood of Alpena, ACT Scholarship recipientAlpena’s Angela Youngblood, a senior at Alpena high school has been awarded an ACT Scholarship to attend North Arkansas College this fall. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Lucy Youngblood.

Angela won 3rd place at FBLA District Finals, 3rd place Arkansas FBLA Finals, and was an Alpena Science Fair Finalist. She has received awards in English, Math, Science, and History and was on the Honor Roll throughout high school.  Club memberships include Student Council, Beta Club, and FBLA where she served as an officer.

Youngblood is undecided upon her major.  She plans to transfer to a university to complete her education.  She is considering working as a book editor at a publishing company or teach at a local school or college.

“I feel so proud and accomplished for receiving this award!” Angela says.  “I know that I am blessed and I’m extremely grateful.”

In order to qualify for an ACT Scholarship at North Arkansas College, a student must score 24 or higher on the ACT Examination.
