Trent Taylor Receives Presidential Scholarship
Trent Taylor of Bellefonte has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship to attend North Arkansas College this fall. A 2013 graduate of Valley Springs High School, he is the son of Todd and Tammy Taylor.
During his high school career, Taylor was honored with many awards, including an Agri Science and Technology award, a Greenhouse Award, Service Award, Dekalb Agri Accomplishment Award, Vocational Completer, and was an Honor Graduate. He participated in many student organizations, including FFA, Science Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, B.A.S.I.C., Tiger News Network, Photography Club, Science Club, Spanish Club, and Youth Empowerment Network. He also served as Yearbook Staff Co-Editor, Junior Class reporter, and was elected Senior Class Vice-President.
Taylor plans to attend Northark for two years, and transfer to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he will major in Agriculture Business, Marketing and Communications. His career plans are to work in the agriculture field.
“I am thankful to receive this scholarship so I can further my education,” Taylor said.
In order to qualify for a Presidential Scholarship at North Arkansas College, a student must score 22 or higher on the ACT Examination.
