North Arkansas College sophomore Devin Pearson was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American team.
The Sylvan Hills graduate completed his Pioneer career this year earning the third team honor.
He is the third All-American for the Pioneers in four years since Josh French was named to the All-American first team and Matt Johnson made All-American second team in 2013.
“Devin is very deserving of this honor,” said North Arkansas College coach Jerry Thomason. “He did a lot for our program in the two years that he was here.
“He was a good teammate,” Thomason continued. “We could count on him inside. He had many solid games for us this year. Northark athletics will miss him.”
Pearson started all 29 games this season for the Pioneers. He averaged 19.6 points a game to go along with 8.5 rebounds a contest.
Those averages made him 47th in scoring this year and 37th in rebounds. He was also 37th in shooting percentage at 58 percent. He also was 27th in offensive rebounds a game with 3.6.
