Scholarship Announcement

   North Arkansas College Foundation, Inc. announces the establishment of a memorial scholarship to honor the life and work of the late Val R. Bellora of Harrison.  Devoting over 40 years of service to White-Rodgers Division of Emerson, Inc., Val was instrumental in setting up manufacturing plants in Harrison, Arkansas, and Bayamon, Puerto Rico, in the 1970's.

   The scholarship, established by private donors in February, 2001, will enable Northark students to begin or continue their postsecondary education.  North Arkansas College's scholarship committee will determine the recipient, based on academic achievement and course of study.  Preference will be given to students who pursue an associate degree, certification or licensing in manufacturing or other engineering technology.  Any US citizen who meets the criteria is eligible to apply.
