Northark Center Campus

   Governor Mike Huckabee visited Harrison last Thursday to celebrate healthy living and attend a ribbon-cutting for the Dr. Dan J. Hawkins Community Health Center located in the Center Campus of North Arkansas College. This center will serve as a referral site for employers, physicians and community organizations interested in helping attain healthy lifestyles.

   After the ribbon-cutting, members of the Harrison Chamber of Commerce and Northark’s faculty and staff participated in Olson’s Oktoberfest, featuring traditional German food, including bratwurst and sauerkraut.  “This is a very special event for our college,” according to Dr. Jeff Olson, president of North Arkansas College, “because we are celebrating our expansion into the new campus.  This move enables us to connect even more closely to the community through our outreach programs.”

   North Arkansas College set another new enrollment record with 2,187 students this fall.
