Pioneer Voices sing at Lyric

    The North Arkansas College Pioneer Voices will present a free spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 7 at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Harrison and the public is invited to attend.  The 20th Century Celebration Choral Revue by Greg Gilpin will feature the following musical numbers, according to Northark instructor Judy Starr.  The song, "Music, Music, Music," arranged by Greg Gilpin, promises to entertain the crowd.  The 1940's ­ Jumpin' at the Woodside; Jersey Bounce; On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe; Chattanooga Choo Choo; Pennsylvania 6-5000; and Tuxedo Junction.  The 1950's ­ Jailhouse Rock; Rock Around the Clock; Good Golly, Miss Molly; I'm Walkin'; Bye, Bye, Love; and Since I Donąt Have You.  The 1960's ­ Wipe Out; Proud Mary; Fun, Fun, Fun; Good Vibrations; R-E-S-P-E-C-T; Blowin' in the Wind; and Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In.  The song, "You'll Never Walk Alone," by Rodgers & Hammerstein and arranged by Mac Huff will also be featured. "Thanks to Diane Bell for teaching us the hand motions," said Starr. "And we appreciate Kristen Steffen for creating our choreography."  Pioneer Voices include Megan Dean, Dane'le Harris, Ashley Johnson, Diana Rackley, Rebecca Sechler Warren, Shawn Boggus, Kristen Steffen, Cindy Tidyman, Aaron Alford, Chris Kennedy, Brandon Cone, Stephen Fox and Wes Williams.  Northark staff who have added input and support include Dr. Jeff Olson, president; Dr. Barry Good, vice president of instruction; and Bill Skinner, humanities division chair.  "We'd like to thank the Northark administration, the community, R.E. Davis and the Northark Drama Department, Northark faculty secretaries, Ken Bailey and the Ozark Arts Council, Harrison Daily Times, KHOZ Radio, KCWD Radio and TKO8 television for all their support," added Starr.
