Stanton Strings to Perform Tuesday at Northark in Chamber Music Series


Stanton Strings    The Stanton Strings will perform Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. In the Little Theatre at North Arkansas College in the Chamber Music Series co-sponsored by Northark and the Ozark Arts Council.
 
    The group includes includes Pamela Davis, first violin; Kirsten Weingarten, second violin; Kathy Murray, viola, and Jacqueline Trtan, cello.  The group from the Springfield, Mo., area was formed 20 years ago by Trtan and a colleague who has since moved from the area.  Although some members have changed over the years, the group has worked and performed consistently.

    The current performers have all been awarded degrees in music.  The varied professional engagements held by members run from professional orchestras to the entertainment venues from Las Vegas to Branson.  The group is hired regularly for events ranging from corporate events to weddings.  The four musicians give several concerts annually with bookings scheduled next season at the First and Calvary Presbyterian and the Kingsway United Methodist Chamber series.  They will also perform at Drury University.

    Admission to the performance is $10.  However, students and Northark employees are admitted free of charge.
