Northark Nursing Students

North Arkansas College Associate Degree Nursing Students took first place in the Nursing Knowledge Jeopardy Contest at the Student Nurses Convention held in Hot Springs on October 17 & 18. Contestants from Northark’s Student Nurses Association included Tracie Abu Dayyeh from the LPN-to-RN Bridge Program; Stephanie Ertle; a Sophomore ADN student; and Skipper McCormick, a Freshman ADN student. The contest was designed to quiz the students using the Jeopardy game show format with categories related to basic nursing knowledge. The contest went into five overtimes before the Northark team defeated the two-time champions from the University of Arkansas. Each of the winning contestants received a $239.00 NCLEX-RN Review Course. Faculty sponsors for the Student Nurses Association are Carrie Butchers and Shari Cartwright.
