Ms. Hand began with the Educational Opportunity Center as an Academic Counselor in November of 2001.  She earned an Associate of Arts Degree at North Arkansas College in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1996. 

The Educational Opportunity Center, one of the federally funded TRIO Programs, is located on the Center Campus, and its objective is to assist adults 19 years of age and older with their educational needs and interests.  Ms. Hand can administer interest inventories to prospective students who would like guidance in deciding upon a career.  She can explore with them different colleges, degrees and certificates, and possible scholarship opportunities.  She will help enrolling students complete admissions and financial aid applications and just be there to answer questions.
