ETS Summer Camp 2007

Students from Marshall, Yellville-Summit, Deer, Atkins, Hillcrest, Melbourne, and Mammoth Spring attended camp this year.  They went to the C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center in Ferndale, AR May 29 - June 1, 2007.  All the kids were eager to participate in the activities.  Everyone had a wonderful time....it was so much fun! 

They got to meet lots of new friends on top of all the activities they did at camp.  They studied Arkansas wildlife and astronomy and even had time for some canoeing, archery and swimming.  But I think the most exciting and challenging time of camp would have to be the ExCEL Ropes course.

Students who attend camp must be in 7th, 8th and 9th grades and a member of Educational Talent Search.  These students must also participate in monthly ETS workshops, be in good standing academically, and have an overall positive attitude.  It is an honor to be chosen for the annual camp.  Click here to find out more about the Youth ExCEL Challenge.
