Mrs. Brown has been with the Advising Center since February 2007. Mrs. Brown began working with the TRIO Program Educational Talent Search in 1988 as a workstudy student. After completing her Associate of Arts at North Arkansas College in 1990, she relocated to Conway, Arkansas where she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at the University of Central Arkansas in 1992. She and her family moved back to Harrison to raise their children and began a wonderful career working with people. After working in the computer technology field, she returned to her first love - education. Mrs. Brown joined North Arkansas College's ranks once again in June, 2000. She has processed Northark's payroll, taught Adult Education, served as an Educational Opportunity Center Academic Counselor and is now a Counselor in the Advising Center. During her career at North Arkansas College, she also received her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Mrs. Brown also continues to teach part-time at the college. She hopes to use her experiences to help encourage others to obtain their dreams and goals through education.
