Ann Porter grew up in Memphis, TN and Fayetteville, AR.  She graduated from Benton High School.  Ms. Porter is married with three children and two “grands.”  She also has a BA in English and Science from University of Arkansas, an MA in English from University of Memphis and taught at Central High School in West Helena for 18 years before coming to Northark.  Ms. Porter teaches Fundamentals of Composition, English Composition I and II, Speech, and World Literature I and II.  She is certified to teach Science, Art, and English grades 1-8 and Science and English grades 9-12 in Arkansas.  Her hobbies are hiking, movies and theater, history, birding, photography, crafts, and reading.
