    Monsants has recently genetically engineered a "suidice" gene into some of their plants.  The gene does not become activated until after the crop grows an begins to produce new seeds.  At that time, the suicide gene produces a terminator product causes the seeds to stop development and fall out clients, mostly farmers, have to buy new seeds each year.

    1) What do you think of this process?

    2) What effect would this process have on crop stability?  On ecosystems?

    3) What effect would this process have on evolution/natural selection?

    4) What would be the impact on developing countries economically and health/nutrition wise?
