Assignment #16

    Dumping large amounts of raw sewage into rivers or lakes often leads to massive fish kills, although sewage itself is not toxic.  Similar fish kills also occur in shallow lakes that become covered with ice in the winter.

    1) What kills the fish?

    2) How might you reduce the mortality after accidentally releasing raw sewage into a small pond/lake containing large bass?
