Digital Camera Photography Tips After taking a picture with the digital camera, you will need to resize your picture. To do this, open the file in Adobe Photoshop. Alter the dimensions of the photo to convert it to the size you will need for your target picture. You will have to decrease it by quite a bit. This will decrease the size of the photo on your disk and the loading time for it to load on a web page.
Instructions for Using the Scanner in Room 208 On the instructor's station, check to see that the scanner under the computer is turned on. The power light will be green. If it's not on, turn it on and restart the computer.

(You will see a message that it is warming up. Wait for it to warm up.)
Insert your photo in the scanner face down.
Click Preview
Adjust the marquee - the dotted lines may be brought in or out to select the part of the image you want to scan
Open your e-mail program and compose your message.
Look for an icon or button that represents "attachment." Different e-mail programs have slightly different interfaces for attachments.
A dialogue box will open asking for the file location.
Click on the drives and/or folders that represent the location of your file you want to attach.
Doublle-click on the file name of the file you want to attach.
Exam View Troubleshooting Before you begin, make sure you know your logon ID and your password. You can only get this information from your instructor for your class. If you forget either one, you must see your instructor. In my classes, I use the Exam View testing program. The logon is your complete name. The password is your student ID.
To Publish to our student server
First you must create a website in Dreamweaver. Create a root folder called flash_final. Open your final index file and save it as index.html. Copy the swf file to the root folder. Set up your remote access by using the Site, Manage Sites, Edit, Remote Info command.
Fill in the blanks for remote access as follows: FTP host: www.northark.net; Directory: home/01 (02, etc) Login: bishopweb; Password: the password I gave you.
Click the Test button to make sure it works, then exit out of the dialog boxes.
Select the root folder for the Web site you want to publish, then click the Put icon (blue arrow)
To view your website on the server
Go to http://www.northark.net/bishopweb.
Click on your folder number.
To delete files on the student server
Expand the Files panel so you can see the remote files.
