Going To The Dogs

Life's not all work and no play. I enjoy doing things, and being a participant is infinitely more fun for me than being an observer. For example, I raise and show dogs. I've had a lot of fun doing that for a long time. Participation also means that I stay active in the North Arkansas Kennel Club.

I am an avid martial artist

Among my favorite interests is the martial arts. I study and teach Tae Kwon Do at Burleson's  Martial Arts Academy in Harrison.

It's a great way to release tension..

Practicing Tae Kwon Do in the evening helps me get rid of the tensions that build up during the day.  I also get the added benefits of improved flexibility, coordination, and strength.

...focus my thoughts...

The martial arts take a great deal of concentration and stamina. The expression "practice makes perfect" is only true if you practice to achieve perfection. There is always something else to learn...something else to perfect.

...and relieve stress.

OK -- it relieves my stress.

For more information about Tae Kwon Do you can check the USTF web site.
