Survive and Thrive: Outdoor Skills for the Wild

Days of the week: Tuesday & Wednesday 

Date: June 2-3, 2026 

Cost: $35.00 (lunch & supplies provided) 

 

Learn essential outdoor skills, including first aid, packing, knot-tying, navigation with maps, compasses, GPS, fire-building, outdoor cooking, water purification, and shelter construction. Prepare for any adventure! This camp is open to students ages 14-18 and all teachers. 

Rooted in Science: Plants, Habitats, and Conservation

Days of the week: Tuesday & Wednesday 

Date: June 9-10, 2026 

Cost: $35.00 (lunch & supplies provided) 

 

Explore plant taxonomy, tree and wildflower identification, plant collection techniques, and the importance of protected species. Gain hands-on experience in recognizing and classifying local flora! This camp is open to students ages 14-18 and all teachers. 

Rock Solid Experience: Exploring Rocks, Water, and Time

Days of the week: Tuesday & Wednesday 

Date: June 16-17, 2026 

Cost: $35.00 (lunch & supplies provided) 

 

Identify rocks and minerals, explore geological formations on a hike, and venture into caves to uncover Earth’s history! This camp is open to students ages 14-18 and all teachers. 

Current Clues: Life in the River

Days of the week: Tuesday & Wednesday 

Date: June 23-24, 2026 

Cost: $35.00 (lunch & supplies provided) 

 

Collect and identify macroinvertebrates to uncover clues about water quality. Learn how these tiny creatures reveal the health of aquatic ecosystems! Collect, identify, and dissect fish and crayfish to explore their anatomy, ecology, and role in aquatic ecosystems! This camp is open to students ages 14-18 and all teachers. 

Inside Engineering Camp

Grades 6-7

Days of the week: Monday - Friday

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m. (Drop off- 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.; Pick Up - 4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Date: July 20-24, 2026 

Cost: $250 (snacks, T-shirt, insurance and other camp-related expenses provided)

Lunch is NOT provided. Remember to bring your own lunch. If this poses a financial challenge, please reach out to us before the camp starts so we can explore alternative arrangements.

Fees are due upon registration, but scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Don't let finances stand in the way of a memorable camp experience!

Let the games begin at the 2026 Engineering Olympics Inside Engineering camp! This summer, campers will experience the thrill of competition as they take on Olympic-inspired engineering challenges that blend creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. From designing devices that simulate athletic feats to tackling STEM-based obstacles, participants will work in teams to earn medals in invention, strategy, and teamwork. With each challenge, campers will build critical thinking skills, explore diverse engineering disciplines, and celebrate the spirit of innovation. Here every camper has the chance to become a champion of engineering!

Costume Design Camp (ages 8-16)

Do you have a passion for fashion? Love to design & draw clothes? Learn the fundamentals of fashion illustration and costume design so that you can express your ideas with clarity and flair! Explore a variety of illustration techniques, including how to use a fashion figure (croquis) and how to use art media such as collage, marker, watercolor, and color pencil. Design clothing for yourself or others and discover how fashion evolves by looking back at the history of costume and ahead towards the future. Ages 8-16; class size is limited so please do not sign up your child unless they are seriously interested in this camp.

Mini Makers Camp (ages 8-16)

Are you a maker that just loves all things mini? If you love crafting on a small scale, Mini Makers Camp will be just right for you! In this camp we will make miniatures using a variety of materials and methods. Learn handcrafting skills to make small furniture and décor and painting techniques to create textures. Learn how to sculpt small food and dishes, and how to stitch small pillows, bedding and other soft goods for interiors. Ages 8-16; class size is limited so please do not sign up your child unless they are seriously interested in this camp.

Sew & Style Camp (ages 8-16)

Day of the week: Monday - Thursday

Date: July 13 - 16, 2026

Time: 1 pm - 4:30 pm

Do you wish you could make clothes for yourself that are cute & comfortable? Discover the joy and freedom of expression that can come with sewing your own pieces that fit you well! We will focus on sewing a skirt, shorts, or pajama pants with an elastic or drawstring waistband. For sewists with machine-sewing experience: you need to have taken a machine-sewing class with Genie or be able to show proficiency on your machine. Ages 8-16; class size is limited so please do not sign up your child unless they are seriously interested in this camp.

Figure Drawing Camps (grades 3rd-6th & 7th-12th)

Learn how to draw the human figure in a life-like way. No matter your skill level, we can show you how to build confidence and create an expressive figure with gesture drawing, proportions, and posing. We will also cover how to draw portraits from different angles, hair styles, hands, and clothing. In this camp, we will be doing many sketches and as a final project, we will complete an illustration of a person or character.

Sculpture Camps (grades 3rd-6th & 7th-12th)

Date: June 22 – 25, 2026
Time: 8:00 – 11:30 am (grades 3rd-6th); 1:00 – 4:30 pm (grades 7th-12th)
Cost: $125 (supplies included)
 
Explore a wide variety of sculpting techniques and materials. We will start off with ceramic clay and learn hand-building to make unique pieces that will be fired in the kiln. Next, we will learn foam clay techniques and how to build armatures with tinfoil and wire. On our final day, we will be painting our sculptures and learning various painting methods from weathering to dry brushing. Everyone will have several completed sculptures at the end of this camp to take home with them.

Future Manufacturers: Design & Build Camp

Day of the week: Monday - Thursday

Date: June 1 – 4, 2026

Time: 8:00 – 1:00 pm (grades 9-12)

Cost: $59

 

Design and build your own cellphone charger! Program 3D printers to print your design for the blades of a small windmill tower that can charge your phone during a power outage. Learn about DC motors, wiring, soldering, and how to construct your own windmill tower that you get to keep. For students entering 9th–12th grades in Fall 2026.
