Emergency Alerts

MyNortharkAlerts is UA Northark’s emergency alert system that alerts students and staff of college emergencies, inclement weather closings and important announcements. Your cell phone must be able to accept text messages to receive mobile alerts. If your phone does not accept text messages you can still receive the alerts via e-mail. Each semester, students are automatically enrolled in the MyNortharkAlerts system.  Students can unsubscribe at any time by replying “stop” or visiting MyNortharkAlerts located at the top of the page at www.northark.edu. Students should update the information when they get a new phone provider or phone number to continue to receive alerts.

Closing Due to Weather Conditions

Inclement Weather Policy: UA Northark is open unless it is announced otherwise. If Northark closes, the closing will be communicated immediately on MyNortharkAlerts mobile phone messaging system, Facebook, Twitter and the UA Northark website. During inclement weather conditions, the college will make every effort to announce closings for day classes as early as possible.  A determination regarding evening classes will be announced by 3 p.m. to allow students adequate time to drive to campus.

Even when UA Northark is not closed, students, faculty, and staff should use personal discretion regarding their travel decisions.
