Music, arts and crafts, free food, activities for kids, and door prizes can all be found at the Cave Region Music and Arts Festival, Saturday, April 25, 11 am-4 pm in the Pioneer Pavilion, located at Northark’s South Campus in Harrison.
Artists from the Harrison Art League will be present, as well as other artists, including Grace Archer, Shawnna Werner, Sandy Reavis, Candace Snow, Cindy Dollard, Dana Byrd, Kim Sommers, Kassadee Gal, Terena Terry, Kelly Lofton, and many more. Visitors can interact with woodworkers, painters, photographers, jewelry makers, candle makers, and much more. There will be plenty of items to purchase. You might find a nice piece of art for your living room, a scented candle, or a new necklace.
Additionally, local craftsman Jon Dezort will be printing this year’s design on shirts, and guests are encouraged to bring their own T-shirts and sweatshirts if they would like to have them printed that day.
While drifting among the many artists’ booths, area musicians will perform on stage. The music creates an exciting atmosphere, and there will be seats available to sit and enjoy the performers, including Ashtyn Barbaree, Still on the Hill, Jack Williams, Ben de la Cour, and Aaron Smith.
The event is family friendly, and there are plenty of activities for kids, or kids at heart, such as face painting and other interactive creative projects designed by some of the artists.
Let’s not forget the food: Northark’s College Grill is catering. There will be a wide variety of delicious options, including sub sandwiches, chips, salads, and a dessert bar.
The latest issue of the Cave Region Review, volume 16, will also be available. The journal includes poetry, short stories, photography, and artwork by artists and writers from across the Ozarks region, as well as a few featured guests from outside the area.
Entry into the festival is free.
