Collision Repair Education Foundation awards $20K to Northark
Posted Date: 12/5/23

North Arkansas College (Northark) was recently notified it has received the second highest award this year of $20K from the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) Benchmark Grant program. The award is exceeded only by a $25K grant to Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School in Massachusetts.

Northark is one of only two Arkansas institutions to receive funding. Northeast Arkansas Career & Technical Center located in Jonesboro was granted $5K.

The grants support efforts to educate the collision industry’s future workforce and make a difference in the lives of the students training in those programs.

“We are very excited about using these grant resources to support special events and expand community outreach that will highlight the Collision Repair program to prospective students and increase awareness of career opportunities in this field,” commented Nell Bonds, dean of Community Outreach and Technical Programs at Northark.
