Gene Haas Scholarship applications now open

North Arkansas College (Northark) has been awarded $17,500 from the Gene Haas Foundation to support scholarships and student competition teams in the field of manufacturing.

Currently enrolled Northark students and students who plan to enroll in CNC Technologies training or Manufacturing Technology in 2024 are eligible to receive $2,000 for their first and second semesters. Awards increase to $2,500 for the third and fourth semesters. Awards are given based on financial need.

Registration for current students begins November 6, 2023. New student registration opens November 27, 2023. Spring classes start January 8, 2024. Students can enroll through January 12, 2024.

The Gene Haas Foundation’s primary goal is to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships for CNC machine technology students also to provide students with the experience of collaboration with a team by competing in a competition that highlights design, engineering, and manufacturing with CNC machined parts as a primary component.
