It is scholarship season at North Arkansas College, and the college is now coordinating with area high schools to prepare for next year’s scholarship awards. Through the Northark Foundation, a variety of private scholarships are available to help students pursue their educational goals.
Students are encouraged to visit the Foundation Scholarship webpage to review eligibility requirements and begin the application process. Beginning March 20, the Northark Facebook social media page will feature highlighted scholarship opportunities. Interested applicants are encouraged to follow the college and check back regularly for updates.
Several scholarships have early deadlines and are being announced now to allow interested students ample time to apply.
The Boone County Cattlemen’s Association Michel Family Scholarship is a new $1,500 award available to Boone County graduating seniors who plan to study agriculture. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The application deadline is April 1.
The Dorm and Kay Saylors Memorial Scholarship provides $500 to students from Marion, Newton, Searcy, Madison, Carroll, and Boone counties. Eligible applicants must have a 3.0 high school GPA and plan to pursue a degree in mathematics, science, or education. Financial need may also be considered in the application process.
