North Arkansas College has received prestigious recognition from TechGuide’s 2024 list of Associate in Information Technology degree programs. Northark was named #20 on the newly released list. These rankings include both two and four-year institutions and highlights the excellence of the IT program and Northark’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
“It is rewarding to know Northark’s IT degree ranks in the top 25 in the nation,” Northark President Rick Massengale noted. “I am very proud of our professors who work so hard to ensure our students are well-prepared to enter careers in Information Technology. We are grateful to have their achievements and dedication recognized by industry experts.”
The ranking process involves a thorough evaluation, considering various factors such as tuition, student-to-faculty ratio, admission and graduation rates, and alumni success. TechGuide utilizes data from reputable sources such as the Nation Center for Education Statistics, including IPEDS and the College Navigator, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of their rankings.
Northark’s degree has been tailored to the needs of students. “The Information Technologies program has been revamped to offer classes year-round which enables students to finish their degree in 16 months.” Cheryl Keymer, department chair of Business and IT said. “Due to the availability of a simulated lab, the IT program can offer online classes without giving up the lab component of the class. Certifications in IT can also be obtained after completing certain courses.”
