Steps to Enroll
- Submit your Northark application.
- Provide your ACT or ACCUPLACER scores, official high school transcript or GED scores and all college/university transcripts. You can upload these documents with your application, email them to admissions@northark.edu or physcially bring them to the Admissions office at 1515 Pioneer Drive, Harrison AR 72601.
- Provide proof of two (measles, mumps and rubella MMR) immunizations. You can upload these documents with your application, email them to admissions@northark.edu or physically bring them to the Admissions office at 1515 Pioneer Drive, Harrison AR 72601.
- If you are interested in a health professions program, submit a Health Professions Application in addition to your Northark application. Some prerequisites may be needed for health professions programs.
- Your application will be processed as soon as possible. You will receive an acceptance letter to the email address you provide. If you do not receive a letter, please contact our Admissions office at 870-391-3505.
Apply for financial aid by completing your FAFSA. The FAFSA should be completed as soon after October 1st as possible.

What to Know About FAFSA
Completing the 2025-2026 FAFSA is the key to receiving aid for the Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 terms. If you haven’t done so already, complete it as soon as possible. Fill it out online at https://studentaid.gov/
Some New Terms You Will Encounter:
- Contributor: This refers to anyone required to provide their information and signature on your FAFSA.
- Federal Tax Information (FTI): By signing your FAFSA, you and your contributor consent to transfer your federal tax information directly from the IRS into the FAFSA using direct data exchange.
- Consent: Even if you, or your contributor(s), didn’t file a tax return, you still need to give consent for transferring federal tax information.
- Student Aid Index (SAI): This replaces the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) in determining eligibility for need-based funding.
Things You May Need:
- Social Security Number
- 2023 federal income tax returns and W-2s
- Financial records or untaxed income
- Net worth of investments, business, and farm
- FSA ID and password

What to Do After You Are Accepted

Academic Advising
Meet with your academic advisor to talk more about your academic and career plans as well as register for classes. The Advising Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in room M184 on the South Campus. Call 870-391-3115 to schedule a mandatory, in-person, or virtual (via Microsoft Teams) appointment.
Get Your Student ID
Go to the Admissions Office to get your Student ID Card made. It will be used for a variety of services at Northark. Also, look for "We Give Northark Discounts" stickers at the area businesses, show your Northark ID, and receive a discount as part of our Pioneer Perks program.
Set Up Your Northark Email
Important communication will be sent to your Northark email address. All usernames are lowercase (case sensitive).
Student Username Format for Windows
First Initial + Last Name + Last 3 digits of Northark ID#
Example (John Doe ID# 123456): jdoe456
Password Format
"p-" + 7-digit ID# + Last 2 digits of birth year
Example (John Doe ID# 1234567 born 1955): p-123456755
- The email and username format for email, myNorthark and Canvas will be your username@my.northark.edu.
- Northark’s Information Technology Services department has an online help desk (link) to walk students through nine areas of support. Contact IT Services at 870-391-3555 with any issues logging in.
Access myNorthark
myNorthark provides services you will need during your time at Northark. Your login information to myNorthark is the same as your email login credentials.
Access Canvas
Canvas is Northark’slearning management system. Students can access Canvas with their Northark logincredentials. Canvas displays all of your courses, assignments and instructions. You will need to complete New Student OrientationORT-1000 and Title IX Training ORT-0100 by the first day of classes. Once youare logged into Canvas, go to your Dashboard, click ORT 1000 and follow theinstructions. Once finished, go to your Dashboard again, click on ORT 0100 and follow the instructions.
If you received a Pell Grant you must accept the award letter under the myNorthark Financial Aid Tab to use your financial aid.
What To Do After You Register
Pay Tuition
- You can view your latest statement through the myNorthark Student Finance tab and make a payment online. Pay close attention to the tuition due dates for each semester on the Academic Calendar. If you do not meet the deadlines, you will be dropped from your classes.
- Set up a payment plan if you cannot pay your tuition all at once.
Buy Textbooks and Supplies
Buy textbooks at the College Store or online before your classes start. The College store has a convenient textbook lookup online or you can bring your schedule to the store and the staff will help you.
Get Your Tech
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer. If you do not have access to a computer, laptops can be checked out at the Learning Resource Center for a full semester at no charge.
Get A Parking Permit
- Get your Northark Parking Permit by filling out the Parking Permit Application. You will be able to pick up your parking permit at the South Campus Admissions Office.
- Replacement passes are $5.00 each and the original parking pass will become invalid. For each additional parking pass required, there is a $5.00 fee.
