Last year’s team finished with a record of 13-10. Keely Blanchard was selected to the All-Region team. There were 4 Lady Pioneers selected to the NJCAA Academic Team. Samantha George, Olivia Dean, and Kyndal Rooks were selected to the first team. Sydney Standridge, Payton Clark and Anabelle Massengale were selected to the second team.
The Lady Pioneers return 3 sophomores from last years team, Blanchard averaged 17.3 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Kailey Vaught averaged 4.1ppg and Nya Fulton averaged 2.2ppg. The Lady Pioneers also welcome transfer A.J.Person, who averages 12.1 ppg and 4.3r pg. The LadyPioneers welcome 9 new faces to this year’s squad. A very talented group of young ladies, not only on the court but are also outstanding student in the classroom.
Howard enters his 19th year as the head coach. Howard is the winningest coach in North Arkansas College history with 316 wins and 171 losses (.649%). He is the first North Arkansas College graduate to ever coach here. He serves on the President’s Cabinet and committee chair for the NJCAA Region 2 Division II Basketball committee. He was selected to the Dorm Saylors Athletichall of Fame in 2007.
Bobby has been married to his lovely wife Becky for 42 years and has 2 grown children. Lacey and husband Bryan and Clint and wife Kayla. The Howard’s enjoy 4 grandkids: Carson 20, Knox 11, Sloane 8 and Riggins 5.
