
Phillips has built a reputation for developing successful programs and student-athletes, with experience spanning the NAIA, NJCAA, and NCCAA ranks. He is currently serving as head basketball coach at Marmaduke High School. Most recently at the collegiate level, he served as head women’s basketball coach at Ecclesia College, where he led the program to one of the best seasons in school history and a regional runner-up finish. Prior to that, Phillips served as athletic director at Arkansas State University-Newport and has held head coaching positions at several institutions, including Crowley’s Ridge College and University of Arkansas Cossatot.
Phillips’ leadership experience includes restarting programs, recruiting large classes of student-athletes, and guiding teams to record-breaking seasons and postseason appearances. His approach emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and holistic development—values that align closely with the mission of UA Northark athletics.
Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Williams Baptist College and a Master of Science in Physical Education from Emporia State University.
