Kadem Tharp enters his 1st season at the helm of the North Arkansas Baseball program.

Tharp comes to Harrison from Arkansas Tech University where he was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. The Wonder Boys posted a 118-71 record in his 4 full seasons as assistant coach. Tech reached postseason play all four years as well as a conference championship and regional appearance in 2021.

Tharp has coached 20 all-conference selections, 3 All Region, and 1 All American at Arkansas Tech.

Prior to his stint at Arkansas Tech University, Coach Tharp owned and operated Sliders indoor baseball academy from 2011-2015.

From 2006-2010, Tharp was the head assistant and pitching coach for Kansas Wesleyan University. Kansas Wesleyan won 2 conference championships and 3 tournament championships, received multiple all conference performers, 3 All Americans and 2 players signed professional contracts. In 2007, he earned a master’s degree from Kansas Wesleyan in business administration.

Tharp began his baseball career at Brown Mackie College in 2002, where he was a 2003 All-Region infielder. He then joined the team at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kan., staying until he received his bachelor’s degree in 2005. In 2004, Tharp was named to the KCAC All-Conference First Team. 

Kadem and his wife Kerry have 4 kids: Brette, Kanon, Bane, and Kamryn and reside in Harrison.
