Pottery Workshops with Timber Hollow Pottery

Instructor: Frances Gribbon

Join us at the Timber Hollow Pottery studio for some wonderful workshops! This spring, we are making Beautiful Birdhouses, Textured Stoneware Vases, and Chunky Chickens! In the first lesson, you will learn hand-building techniques to create your piece of pottery, and these will be left with Frances to be bisque fired. In the next lesson, you will glaze your unique piece for its final firing. Workshops are limited to six participants and payment must be made in advance. Morning and evening classes are offered for each workshop.

Frances is the owner of Timber Hollow Pottery and has been teaching clay workshops in her studio for many years. She loves animals, the Rolling Stones, and is passionate about introducing people to the joys of working with stoneware clay.

Clay Creatures

Instructor: Candace Snow

From pets, favorite animals, or mythical beasts, come learn to create your favorite creature out of clay.  We’ll learn how to sculpt using hand-building techniques in ceramic clay. We will cover slab building and form building, as well as techniques for hollowing out the sculptures. We’ll then be using acrylic paint to give them color and life.

Candace is an experienced artist who has been teaching art for over 10 years and travels to conventions selling her artwork. Candace works in various mediums, from watercolor and acrylic to ceramics. Committed to constantly learning and growing as an artist, her goal is to encourage more people to fall in love with art.
